Illustration Commission Process

Commissions start with expression of interest, discuss the subject matter, and what you're overall looking for.Do not ask or send commission interest of the following:No Feral / animal characters, underage characters, violent imagery, images depicting real life individuals, politically charged, or scatological contentIf the character is of an internet artist or of a personal OC, proof of them being OK with the subject matter you're asking for is required, EX: if you want fanart of a vtuber, they must be ok with the content you're requesting. This can be from their Bio, or a personal note, or disclosure statement.I will always try my best, but I'll always let you know if you're asking for something that is not my strong suit (mech, automobile, detailed weaponry, etc) These are not non-starters, but I may not be at a level of proficiency that you may expect.NEXT
At this point you are put on my Trello Board (wait-list), and I will message you when I am able to start work on your project. **I do not accept payment until I can start a piece! If you no longer desire the piece, no worries! Life happens, you'll be removed (or delayed if requested) from the wait-list until the next time they are open.

Next Once you give me your ideas, you will receive "napkin sketches" (as seen above) we can proceed. At this point you have the most flexibility in changing things, pose, camera angle, proportions, etc. It's not gonna be anatomically perfect, but should give the general idea.
Next once we agree on a design / layout, in order for us to continue, half of the total is required via invoice. This is to protect me from risk, as I have been ghosted in the past.
Once payment has been received, you will be given periodic updates, typically at the following stages where you can give feedback:
These will be delivered at lower resolution / screenshots of the process

  • Cleaner sketch

  • Initial render

  • Color

  • Refinement

  • Final Delivery

At each stage, feedback can be given, but the further along, potentially an additional cost may incur. Examples of something that may incur that would be:
- Change the pose entirely
- Change an outfit
- Change the camera angle

Upon completion you will be given:

  • Full resolution images (if variants are part of the piece, each will be exported as lossless PNG files)

  • Source file (PSD)

  • Clip Studio Timelapse (.mp4)`

The Commissioned files by default will be also available (source files and video) to Patron members, and eventually posted to Wabutt Socials (twitter, bsky, etc) if you request privacy, let me know, and I can arrange it, but it may affect timing / pricing.
